Coreification is the publisher of this site's editorial style guides. Community members also contribute outfits, item links and comments; those contributions are attributed to their accounts.
Our guides are starting points for understanding clothing, styling and cultural context. Communities shape their own styles, and a catalog entry does not settle every definition.
When a guide has a Sources section, its links identify material used for historical or cultural context. A citation does not mean that the source's publisher reviewed or endorsed our guide. Entries without cited sources should be read as styling introductions, rather than authoritative histories.
Outfit formulas, palettes and styling notes are editorial suggestions. They are not rules about who can wear a style. Alternate names help people find a guide; related styles may share features while keeping distinct histories.
AI tools assist with research and drafting. Source material and historical claims still need careful checking, and we welcome corrections supported by reliable references or direct community knowledge.
A guide's update date records its latest catalog change. It is not a claim that a specialist reviewed the guide on that date.
We do not currently publish measured popularity scores for style guides. Earlier catalog numbers did not have a documented measurement method, so they are no longer presented as verified trend rankings. “Not rated” means popularity has not been measured; it does not mean a style is unpopular.
