Cropped Kedah and Sarung

Background

ANAABU introduced its Tunas cropped Kedah in the Terus Tumbuh Eid collection, documented on 15 February 2024. The lookbook pairs it with a wrapped sarung. Separate product pages identify the cotton top and cotton-blend skirt, giving this particular version a clear construction reference.

What defines the look

The short hem is relative to a longer tunic: it can still cover the waist completely. Keep the shoulder generous and the skirt overlap legible. A fitted lace blouse with jeans changes that relationship, as does a long tunic hiding most of the skirt. Eid is the collection context, not a requirement for wearing this combination.

Long straight hair tucked behind the ears keeps the collar visible here. A low knot gives the same clear neckline.

Pieces to start with

Boxy cropped Kedah
Check the hem with your arms raised and choose the amount of coverage you prefer. A dropped shoulder and roomy sleeve should remain comfortable rather than pull across the chest.
Long wrapped sarung
Look for enough overlap to sit and step comfortably. Arrange the tie smoothly at the side and avoid tightening the waist so much that the long front panel twists.
Quiet flat sandals
A low sole keeps the long straight skirt easy to walk in. Adjust the hem above the foot so the edge does not catch under your heel.
