What defines the look
The bib is the central shape. Broad straps, small metal adjusters and a divided front pocket remain visible against the checked shirt. A fine red-and-white gingham gives the upper body a clear pattern without competing with the denim seams. Keep the overalls loose through the hips and legs, and roll each hem once so the dark round-toe boots have a distinct outline. The olive hat adds a softer shape above the rectangular bib. Its modest downturned brim frames a light fringe and two loose low braids, keeping the collar and strap hardware visible. Freckles, peach-rose cheeks and muted lips give the face a fresh finish alongside the red checks. For a practical variation, put a plain cotton tee under the same bibs and wear low closed shoes.
