Sarah Spellings’s December 2023 Vogue roundup described Old Money through white and beige separates, collared tops, blazers and loafers. The Museum at FIT’s Ivy Style exhibition traces an earlier collegiate clothing tradition from early-twentieth-century American campuses to its later international influence. Ivy is one useful reference for this outfit, while the current internet label brings together a wider range of polished leisure and tailored clothing.
What defines the look
The blazer supplies the clearest detail: brass buttons, a rounded breast patch pocket and lower pockets with flaps. Its soft shoulder and straight sack body leave room around the shirt. Keep the neck open to show the button-down collar’s gentle roll, and allow a narrow white cuff to emerge at the sleeve. That white edge connects the face and hands without another pattern.
