Scumbro brings loose skate-influenced clothes, outdoor fleece and conspicuous footwear into an intentionally awkward combination. The proportions feel casual, while a colour clash or unusually specific accessory reveals that the outfit has been considered.
An established late-2010s fashion nickname. The look centres on mixed references and relaxed proportions; buying rare pieces or copying a celebrity is optional.
History
Vanity Fair used the term in June 2018 for a visible strand of celebrity streetwear mixing outdoor clothing and skate culture. That date marks documented attention to the look.
What defines the look
Build around one unlikely pairing instead of making every piece compete. A technical-looking shoe under long work shorts can be enough; a fleece with contrasting trim adds another texture. Secondhand pieces work well when their fit is comfortable and their condition suits your plans. The humour comes from the combination, not from neglecting the clothes.

Hair: a natural crop or loose texture can show beneath the cap; avoid forcing a deliberately untidy finish.

- Roomy fleece or sweatshirt
- Choose a soft upper layer with generous sleeves and a hem that sits below the waist. A contrasting pocket or collar provides colour without requiring an all-over print.
