Taiwanese Knotwork Dressing

The March 2023 opening show in Tainan presented the collaboration through knotted surfaces, netting and beaded elements. Vogue Taiwan’s report identifies cotton cord and recycled-bottle-derived round cord among the materials used across the collection.

Build your own look

Pieces to start with

Knotted cord top
Choose an open structure with visible joins and enough room for an underlayer. A short hem keeps fringe away from the thighs and lets the trousers create a continuous lower line.
Plain collared shirt
A smooth opaque shirt makes the openings readable. Tuck it neatly and keep the collar small enough that it does not tangle with cords at the neckline.
Wide tailored trousers
Use unpatterned trousers to balance the detailed upper half. A fluid leg works particularly well with a compact top; keep the hem clear of the floor.
