Castlecore
Castlecore brings an imagined castle wardrobe into contemporary fashion through long silhouettes, dark romantic detail, draped fabric and a little metal. One dramatic garment can carry the idea while simple shoes and a usable bag make the outfit easier to wear.
This guide treats Castlecore as a modern fantasy styling label. It does not reconstruct the dress of one medieval region, century or social group. The outfit and formulas are original Coreification suggestions.
History
ASOS used the name in January 2025 for dark maxi dresses, metallic accessories and shaped silhouettes. In February 2025, RUSSH described the label through contemporary runway and red-carpet references, including draped fabrics, lace and silver jewelry. These dated articles establish fashion usage, not a founder or first appearance. Their historical language describes a modern mood and should not be read as a timeline of medieval dress.
What defines the look
Castlecore blends imagined court dress, Gothic romance and fantasy imagery with contemporary clothing. Long drapes, shaped waists and hanging sleeves create the theatrical outline; a small metal pendant adds a contrasting point of detail. The illustrated HolyClothing dress has an attached overlay and a matching waist tie. Low boots and a compact satchel make that flowing shape easier to use in an everyday outfit. A quieter version can concentrate the reference in one sleeve, neckline or long skirt.
Hair & styling details
Part long straight hair near the center and tuck or pin the front sections back to show the draped neckline. Soft lengths over the back keep the hanging sleeves and pendant distinct.
A muted plum lip or softly darkened lash line can repeat the wine-and-black palette. Keep the brow and cheek shading light so the face remains clear against the large areas of draped cloth.
