This original outfit follows the practical CorpGoth approach documented in personal office-dressing accounts. The four modern items are individually sourced; the silhouette combines tailoring with one romantic blouse detail.
History
Trystan L. Bass’s December 2012 This Is CorpGoth post records an interview outfit using pink and grey with black. In November 2014, TheoGoth described adapting a Goth wardrobe for administration work and using some pieces across office and weekend outfits. These dated firsthand accounts document the practice. They do not establish a founding date for the label.
What defines the look
The useful balance is between a clear tailored outline and a few dark romantic details. The continuous shawl collar leaves a clean frame for the blouse bow, while its wine tone returns in the lipstick. A smooth ponytail and straight fringe keep the face and eyeliner readable above that neckline. The jacket stays plain so the blouse’s sheen and the trouser stripes have separate roles. TheoGoth discusses black trousers, romantic blouses and plum or deep-red lip color, with stronger elements adjusted to the job. In this combination, cuff tabs and small rose buttons provide a discreet detail near the shoes. Plain-toe low Derbies keep the finish practical. A simpler variation can use an existing dark cardigan, straight trousers and a bow-neck shirt; a long dark skirt offers another silhouette without adding more ornament.
