Health Goth combines monochrome sportswear with dark, experimental shapes. Smooth shells, long layered hems, close lower legs and sculptural trainers make the look recognizable. History
Mike Grabarek, Jeremy Scott and Chris Cantino began the Health Goth image project in Portland in 2013. Their November 2014 i-D interview connects its monochrome sportswear imagery with digital art, rendered environments and imagined bodies. These references helped shape an online look built around contrasting technical surfaces.
What defines the look
Use the white shell as one clear upper shape, zipped to the collar with its hood down. Broad black shorts extend below the knees, creating a second loose layer. Full-length black tights narrow the line beneath them and meet the high trainer collars. The rounded off-white soles repeat the jacket color at ground level. A small upright pouch adds a dark diagonal without concealing the layered hems. Keep the hair smooth and the makeup cool: a long side fringe, charcoal lash definition and softly neutral lips continue the restrained palette. Mesh can appear as another texture over an opaque base in a different outfit. A long black side fringe and smooth collar-length layers soften the high collar. Keep the hair lightly tucked behind one ear.

- Closed lightweight shell
- A crisp full zip, hood and shallow chest seam give the white upper layer definition. Leave the hood down and wear the hem loose over the shorts waistband.
- Long voluminous shorts
