History
Vogue China's feature edited by Tristan uses Hot Nerd for a contemporary fashion treatment of glasses, neat shirts and sportswear, illustrated with screen imagery and 2025 runway references. Hannah Jackson's January 2024 Vogue article separately documents the return of slim geek-chic frames and their overlap with Office Siren. Together these sources place the label within a recent revival of bookish fashion cues; they describe different frame shapes and outfit possibilities.
What defines the look
The contrast comes from understated clothes and a more considered face. A plain crewneck softens the line of a pencil skirt, while a penny loafer lends weight below its narrow hem. Fuller caramel frames make this version warmer and more retro than the slim black glasses of the illustrated Office Siren outfit. The hair remains loose enough to soften the frame's corners. Vogue China's visual examples include wire frames, dark rectangular frames, disheveled hair and neatly arranged hair. Its clothing suggestions extend to white shirts and sportswear.
