Background
ASCII.jp’s 2016 visit report describes Cure Maid Cafe, established in 2001, through its calm atmosphere and long-skirt uniforms. Nippon.com’s 2015 overview connects permanent Akihabara maid cafés with costume-based entertainment and otaku culture. At-home cafe documents its own later development and uniform design. These are specific café histories. Separately, MaidCult’s Yakui the Maid release documents the use of illustrated maid imagery in the music scene sharing the name.
What defines the look
The white bib and shoulder straps should be readable at first glance. Keep the hair behind at least one shoulder so the apron remains a separate garment over the black collar and sleeves. Its broad waistband organizes the outfit, while the flared lower panel ends above the dark dress hem. A white lace headpiece repeats the same contrast at the face. The selected apron, dress and headdress are independently sold pieces rather than one café’s official uniform. The longer skirt direction is supported by the Cure Maid account; shorter ruffled versions provide a different route. Keep the shoe strap visible and the hem high enough to clear the floor when walking.
Hair & styling details
Long straight black hair with a soft full fringe gives the pale headpiece a clear outline. Move the lower hair behind the shoulders so the bib straps remain visible.
Fine brown-black lashes, pale rose lids and high soft pink cheeks keep the face light against the dark dress. A sheer rose lip repeats the cheek color without competing with the white lace.

White paneled bib apron

White bib apron with a straight upper bib edge and tiny scalloped trim. Two narrow vertical openwork bands on center bib and a slender lace insertion on each wide flat shoulder strap. Straps cross at back. A broad waistband has two separated horizontal trim lines and long ties forming a rear bow. Smooth flared skirt panels with two front seams and tiny scalloped hem edging; no front pocket or large ruffle.
