Background
THE DOG COMPANY’s own history dates its breed-specific postcard books to 2000 and describes later toys, T-shirts and stationery. Nintendo’s Nintendogs record supplies a separate 2005 virtual-pet reference. These products document a wider pet-image culture; their dates do not establish when the Puppycore name was coined. The selected THE DOG × SPINNS collaboration carries the wide-angle dog photograph directly into clothing.
What defines the look
Keep the puppy large enough to recognize before adding other motifs. The new tee uses a photographic pug rather than a small cartoon dog, so its rounded muzzle and wide-angle proportions remain the focal point. White gives the image room, pink softens the cap and strong blue makes the loose trousers lively. The outfit borrows the warm, playful feeling of pet merchandise without turning every garment into an animal shape.
