Retro-futurismcore revisits earlier visions of tomorrow. This Space Age version uses a glossy white trapeze mini dress, white knee-high boots, a bright orange oval bag and long silver sphere earrings. A neat dark bob and crisp eye definition echo the outfit’s compact geometric shapes.

Background
ASU FIDM Museum traces Space Age fashion to the early-1960s Space Race and designers including André Courrèges, Pierre Cardin and Paco Rabanne. Its objects show white boots, geometric eyewear and a simple short dress. The Metropolitan Museum of Art also documents Courrèges white boots from around 1964. The illustrated outfit uses contemporary pieces to revisit that visual language.
What defines the look
The dress should hold a short trapeze shape from its fitted upper edge to a gently widening hem. Broad straps, a squared neckline and a fine chest seam keep its structure clear. White vinyl adds long pale reflections without needing a busy print. Knee-high boots extend the white surface downward, with straight shafts, small block heels and dark sole edges defining their outline. The orange bag supplies a single saturated color. Its large oval handle opening and rounded pouch repeat the simple geometry of the outfit at a smaller scale. Long chain earrings end in silver spheres, adding two fine vertical lines beside the dark bob. Tuck the hair behind one ear so the earring remains visible; keep the upper lashes crisp and the lip softly pink. A silver A-line skirt with a plain knit offers a separates version. Another route can use a white shift with colored boots, keeping the bag simple so the strongest color stays concentrated in one place.
